FiPL funding

Godrevy Warren is benefiting from funding from the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme, which has been developed by Defra with the support of AONBs and National Parks.

The purpose of the FiPL programme is to fund projects that:

  • Support nature recovery
  • Mitigate the impacts of climate change
  • Provide opportunities for people to discover, enjoy and understand the landscape and its cultural heritage
  • Protect or improve the quality and character of the landscape or place

Information on the programme that Godrevy Warren is part of can be found on this page.

Other funding

Godrevy Warren was granted a Countryside Stewardship Agreement in 2018. This included a provision for educational visits. One aim of the FiPL funding is to boost this number from around three visits per year to a number closer to the Countryside Stewardship Agreement’s maximum of 25 visits per year. To help enable this growth in visitor numbers, FiPL funding will help go towards information (including this website), physical access to the site, and facilities on the site (for example, upgrading gates).
